Bar Harbor, Maine

The 116 foot ATLANTIS was built by Gulf Craft, Inc. in Patterson, Louisiana. She was launched into the Bayou Teche, just off the Atchafalaya River on March 20, 1998. (Fans of Clive Cussler's "Dirk Pitt" novels will recognize this area from all the action at the end of FLOOD TIDE.)  After a brief stay in Florida on charter to Key West Excursions, ATLANTIS made her way to Maine in record time.

Four (4) reliable, computer controlled Caterpillar engines produce over 4,000 horsepower enabling ATLANTIS to reach speeds of up to forty miles per hour! ATLANTIS is able to seek out whales in areas other vessels cannot reach.

  • 116 feet long - 25 feet wide
  • (4) 1050 hp computer controlled Caterpillar diesel engines
  • 40 MPH top speed
  • (2) 40kw Northern Lights generators
  • (4) restrooms (two are handicapped accessible)
  • Finback Galley with complete hot/cold food and beverage service
  • (2) fully heated and air conditioned cabins
